This is not the Nega we know from Blaze of Fury. This is Nega BEFORE that. Eggman Nega has been fighting Silver for at least five years before Mammoth Mogul created a time portal that brought him, and a lot of others, to the future. This gives Nega the opportunity to destroy Silver and his allies. But at the end of this, he gets sent through another portal but for the Sol Dimension, hence starting to hate a new enemy: Blaze the Cat, then that will lead to Blaze of Fury.
