In a world without The Avengers, the world is divided on if superheroes are the right call for action. But in a turn of events, the dangerous Project Rebirth restores the super soldier serum and brings chaos to the entire world. This comes to the attention of Vallentina Allegra de Fontaine who finally brings together The Dark Avengers - seven anti-heroes with a moral colour of grey. They must work through their differences and learn what it truly means to fight for justice as they are tasked with securing the serum and bringing down the mastermind behind the project.
