This will be the first show in the MCU instead. It would be released in between The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and The Fantastic Four. Timeline wise, it would take place in between The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Thor: The Dark World. It's more explicit that “The Incident” is the Battle of Earth from Avengers 1 and we still see the fallout from it during the season. Fisk would use the damage that happened to New York during the Battle as an excuse to take control and “fix” the city. Since Marvel Studios owns all of their characters in this universe, Ben Urich would be working at the Daily Bugle instead of the New York Bulletin. Because of this, Mitchell Ellison would be replaced with J. Jonah Jameson (with small cameos from other Daily Bugle staff members throughout the season). Owlsey's appearance would look more similar to his comics look and his fate will be more open ended for him to possibly show up later on, getting his powers.
