When being bitten by an extraterrestrial spider from a dying alien, exchange student Kazuo Nakamura starts to develop abilities, and with the help of his new friend, Danny Dickinson, he becomes Spider-Man, based on a popular superhero and icon who died in battle. When a scientist, Artemis Kirkland is fired by Roderick Kingsley and had his idea stolen, he becomes a flying criminal called Nocturnal, and Kazuo, the alien Spider-Man of Seattle has an archenemy to deal with.
