Haunted by his own demons and fueled by alcohol, occult detective Cal McDonald navigates the darkest corners of Los Angeles, where monsters, vampires, and the undead lurk beneath the city’s seedy surface. Armed with forbidden knowledge and an unhealthy disregard for his own survival, Cal investigates supernatural crimes that blur the line between the living and the dead. But in a world where humanity can be more monstrous than any creature of the night, his greatest enemy may be himself.
