Recast (2023)
Federica, a charming thirty-five year old abandoned by her elderly and rich lover who has kept her for years, decides to organize a meeting with her former high school classmates. The reunion takes a melancholic turn from the beginning: many former comrades will in fact reveal their frustrations and failures that life has reserved for them up to that moment. All of them have somehow worsened: some economically, some morally, some physically. The gallery of characters is heterogeneous: the high school teacher in a middle-aged existential crisis with a young lover; the rich hustler; the failed artist; the angry feminist; upstart politician. There is no shortage of those who have had an existence without lights or shadows in life.
