Basil Karlo was a huge actor, twice Oscar winner, but who went crazy when he learned that the film that launched his career was going to be remade. Dressing like the killer from the movie he played and whose nickname he took up, he went on set and killed a few actors, before being arrested by the Dynamic Duo and interned. Years later, while in Arkham, he becomes the subject of an illegal experiment that changes him into a clay creature that can look like anyone and create deadly weapons with his arms. Fascinated, Hugo Strange let him go to see what he would do. Basil headed to Panessa Studios, to wreak havoc on the set of the new, even worse, sequel to the remake of his beloved film. Now, no one will could deny that there is only one Clayface !
