John is a man whose life has been a never-ending drama; abandoned by his mother and physically and emotionally abused by his father, becoming a father at 16 and abandoning his young family, his oldest daughter has moved to England with his grandchildren and his son has committed suicide. However, John's fortunes could be on the up when he befriends David, a young man who has moved to the USA from Nigeria.
