Synopsis

After receiving a doll for his birthday from his mother Karen, six-year-old Andy Barclay couldn't be happier; however, that all changes when he and his mother discover that the doll is possessed by the soul of a murderous psychopath who wants to make Andy his next victim.

Description of Chucky (Charles Lee Ray):

The main antagonist of the story, Charles Lee Ray is deranged serial killer who, while on the run from Detective Norris, cheats death by transferring his soul into a Good Guy doll named Chucky with a voodoo spell. After being purchased by Karen Barclay and given to her son Andy, Chucky learns that the doll is becoming his new body and that he must transfer his soul into the first person he revealed himself to: Andy.
