Fan Casting Child's Play (1984)

Gunned down by Detective Max Nolan (Dustin Hoffman), dying murderer Bobby Lance Ring (Richard Dreyfuss) uses black magic to put his soul inside a toy named Bonnie -- which Kelly Bradford (Sigourney Weaver) then buys for her young son, Aaron (Macaulay Culkin). When Bonnie kills Aaron's baby sitter, the boy realizes the toy is alive and tries to warn people, but he's institutionalized. Now Kelly must convince the detective of the murderous toy's intentions, before Aaron becomes Bonnie's next victim.
