The film tells the story of Government corruption in Chicago and group of vigilantes rising. Chicago premiered at Lincoln Center, New York, on March 1, 2023, and was theatrically released worldwide on March 4. The film received praise for the performances, cinematography, Reeves' direction, action sequences, and story, though some criticized its runtime. The film was nominated for Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Actor (Aaron Taylor Johnson,) Best Actress (Natalia Dyer,) Best Visuals and best adapted screenplay.
