Alexander Marcus was an officer in Starfleet and the father of Carol Marcus. He is only mentioned in the original timeline, while in the Kelvin timeline, he is an admiral who conspired with Khan Noonien Singh to start a war with the Klingons and one of the two main antagonists of Star Trek: Into the Darkness, alongside him.
