Set in an alternative universe from the best-selling book series created by Sam Mehroke, In the city of Detroit, a group of high school seniors eagerly anticipates their senior trip to the renowned carnival, "The Wonderful Playworld." The air is thick with excitement as they enter the fantastical realm of dazzling lights, enchanting rides, and whimsical attractions. the group gathers at the main tent for a grand circus show hosted by the enigmatic master entertainer, known only as The Showman. The atmosphere pulsates with mystery as The Showman captivates the audience with his hypnotic performances. The teens find themselves entranced by his every word and gesture, unaware that a sinister force is at play. Suddenly, the world around them blurs, and darkness engulfs their consciousness. When they wake up, disoriented and in a cold sweat, there's no trace of the vibrant carnival. As panic sets in, the group realizes something is dreadfully wrong. They question each other about the carnival, but confusion clouds their memories. One of them, however, starts recalling fragments of the night – the thrilling rides, the mesmerizing performances, and the ominous presence of The Showman.
