A Boy with a Terrible Secret
Carey White is a shy, bullied teenage boy living under the oppressive thumb of his fanatically religious father. When he experiences his first nose bleed in the school shower, his classmates mock him mercilessly. A sympathetic boy named Seth Snell feels guilty and convinces his girlfriend Tori to take Carey to prom as an act of kindness. But the popular clique, led by the vicious Christian Hargensen, plots a cruel prank. As Carey discovers he possesses terrifying telekinetic powers—a secret he's kept hidden his entire life—the stage is set for catastrophe. When the prank unfolds at prom, Carey's suppressed rage and newfound abilities explode in a devastating display of supernatural vengeance that destroys everything and everyone around him. A haunting exploration of adolescent isolation, the cruelty of peer pressure, and the destructive power of repressed trauma.
