Post-Justice League V, Movie 14
Nathaniel Adam was a soldier and arrested for a crime he did not commit in the not too distant past. Colonel Wade Eiling offered him to be pardoned for his crimes through testing a new metal for aircrafts, by nuclear bomb. Adam has no choice but to accept. He goes through with it, but it's assumed he is killed in the explosion, when in actuality, he is flung forward into the future while the experimental metal gets attached to his skin. Wade Eiling finds him, who is now a General and stepfather to his children, decides to use him for black ops missions and be the government's own superhero as he was not pardoned for his crimes. Adam becomes Captain Atom, and he struggles with his powers and freedom, while also being in a world that has forgotten him.
