In the 25th century, Michael Carter is a former college football star who, after college, has a pathetic excuse for a life. Unemployed and barely able to pay rent living in a crappy Gotham apartment. He has always dreamed of becoming a superhero so he becomes a criminal and robs Star Labs in Central City. He uses the tech that he stole to become a superhero, Booster Gold. His name comes from his college nickname, Booster. But in his time superheroes are commonplace and not as appreciated so he uses his tech to time travel to the 21st century to become “the greatest hero you’ve ever heard of”
