Ever since his father left him and his mother to fend for themselves, the once bright and cheerful Jim Hawkins has developed a bitter view of life and the universe in general, edging towards the life of a juvenile delinquent and becoming troubled with the law. But one day, when a fleeing pirate crashes and dies at the inn he calls home, he finds a map that could potentially lead to the legendary Treasure Planet left behind by Captain Nathanial Flint. When a crew of pirates destroys the inn looking for the map, Jim embarks on a journey in the RLS Legacy, hoping to find Treasure Planet and use the treasure to get the money to build a new inn and make his mother proud.
