"Is love a crime?"
Liguria, Italy, 1890s: a young, sexually free woman nicknamed "Bocca di rosa" ("Rose Mouth") reaches the little town of Sant'Ilario and seduces all the men in it. All of the town maidens start a deep hate for the wench, and plot a revenge against her. An old widowed lady has the idea to denounce her to the police commissioner.
