Sam Raimi's Blue Beetle trilogy
Set a year after the events of Blue Beetle 2, the film follows Ted Kord as he prepares for his future with Melody Case, while facing Thomas Kord's true killer, Curtis Calhoun, who becomes Prometheus after a freak accident; Randy Truman, his former best friend who is now aware of Ted's identity and seeks vengeance; his job at the Kord Industries is threatened by the presence of a rival businessman named Mike Carter. Ted also faces his greatest challenge when he bonds with an extraterrestrial scarab that increases his abilities but amplifies his anger and other negative traits.
