Synopsis

The story of Blood+ continues! Haji shows just how resilient he can be, Kai is as stubborn and reckless as ever, and confused, sweet Riku is once again in the wrong place at the wrong time. Speaking of time, this season also features flashback sequences that takes us to the 1800's and another violent episode in Saya's curious, catastrophic life! A brutal skirmish, eye-popping gore, and some enlightening flashbacks open this pivotal season to the Blood+ series, as Saya slowly remembers her past memories and will realize what she really is as she will soon reunite with her twin sister, Diva.

It is implied that Haji was born to a japanese immigrant mother and a french father, thus making him half japanese (NOTE: it was never specifically stated whether he's half japanese or full caucasian, because he looks somewhat japanese but no mention of his ethnicity in the anime, manga or maybe the novels, idk.)

    • theonewithda_gun 2. The height of the actor that i cast for the role of Haji is 179cm, almost at 180 at least. Haji is said to be approximately 6ft tall (means he's like 183 or 185). But sometimes these kind of things don't matter, Yuki Yamada, who is 178cm plays Draken in Tokyo Revengers, who's like 185cm but it still works and it's perfectly fine. Plus, i don't want Haji to be taller than David or Amshel, i always see Amshel being the tallest characters in Blood+. And also in the anime, Haji looks a bit shorter/average height in some shots/angles

    • theonewithda_gun And back to number 1, it is said that Haji is of eastern european descent. But it's still ambiguous whether or not he has some sort of japanese/asian blood in him since he kinda look like a hāfu. The anime never delved deeper into the plot that much so idk. Eastern european means that he's either has some Romanian or Russian ancestry

  • theonewithda_gun And to why Haji speaks mostly japanese with Saya after he grows up, well there's a rewrite that came from my own idea:

    • theonewithda_gun So Haji in this live action version is born to a japanese immigrant mother and a french father (the father also had some eastern european ancestry as well). Later, he was taken in by Joel and Amshel to the zoo and at the time he can only speak french and japanese and speaks some engrish with french accent because he wasn't raised by an english speaking family. So he mostly speak japanese, french and also some english with french accent

    • theonewithda_gun On the other hand though, Saya is having trouble on communicating with Haji due to the latter speaking japanese and french most of the time. But Haji speaks some english with french accent so Saya understands him a little bit. Under the request of Joel, Saya begin to read japanese books and literature so that she could learn japanese language in order to understand and communicate with Haji better. This is also for her own good, according to Joel
