Saya Otonashi, a seemingly normal high school student, suffers from amnesia and she can’t remember the past year of her life. One day, after a man appears and gives her a katana sword, her destiny begins to be revealed. Soon she finds herself fighting the latest threat to humanity – Chiropterans. Vampire like creatures that can change their form, disguising themselves as human beings. They feed off blood and hide themselves within the human world. Description of Kai Miyagusuku (Saya and Riku's older brother, George's adopted son, high school bad boy):

Once a popular student at school and a star athlete, Kai quits playing baseball shortly before Saya's arrival and has been getting into more fights at school, becoming a high school bad boy as a result and cannot proceed to the 3rd grade due to his decreasing academic performances. Deep down, he loves his family and wants to keep them together even if they're not related by blood.

theonewithda_gun Kai in live action is basically similar to his anime counterpart. However there's a few new additions:

- theonewithda_gun 1. Kai is shown to be multilingual, able to speak both japanese and fluent english. George taught him to speak english and he mastered it perfectly. He mostly speak japanese to his brother Riku, sometimes Mao and his other friends. He also sometimes speak japanese when having a conversation with Saya, George and Haji. But also he speaks english when talking to Saya, George and other english speaking characters (sometimes he did with Haji)

- theonewithda_gun 2. He pretty much act like your typical bad boy. Skipping school, sometimes getting into fights, hangin out with his friends etc. But he's also somewhat of a western freak as he sometimes listen to american rock music, but his addiction to western culture is not as prominent Saya did, as he's more on the neutral side.
