Germano, Pipazzio's father and Viola's husband, grew up with very traditional values, as well as being a conservative himself, so he has very common dogmas for his age regarding gender and the legality he believes every man should have in society. This, added to the fact that he is a father, makes it easy to imagine how his upbringing was with Pipo, always influencing in him values of passivity and non-competition, work and mostly, no questioning of anything, turning him into a moralistic and not very individual person. Because of the purity he exhibits, mostly because of his ignorance, simple vision and his caregiver personality, he is loved and held in tenderness by Marion and her Pipo
