Rian Craig Johnson (born December 17, 1973) is an American filmmaker. He made his directorial debut with the neo-noir mystery film Brick (2005), which received positive reviews and grossed nearly $4 million on a $450,000 budget. Transitioning to higher-profile films, Johnson achieved mainstream recognition for writing and directing the science-fiction thriller Looper (2012) to critical and commercial success. Johnson landed his largest project when he wrote and directed the space opera Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017), which grossed over $1 billion. He returned to the mystery genre with Knives Out (2019) and its sequel Glass Onion (2022), both of which earned him Academy Award nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Adapted Screenplay, respectively. Additionally, Johnson is also known for directing three highly acclaimed episodes for the television series Breaking Bad (2008–2013), namely "Ozymandias," "Fly," and "Fifty-One"; for the latter, he received the Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directing—Drama Series in 2013. Pitch: Kyle McKnight's father Robert dies..., this leaves Kyle distraught. Kyle is a troubled teen, whose somewhat of a social outcast at school but had his small group of friends that support and help him. Robert was like Kyle's best friend, however Kyle never knew anything about his father's job, what he did while he wasn't home. Kyle and friends all join a MMA fighting club at school to train, while Kyle releases his anger while fighting/training. Later at the funeral of Kyle's father, a man named Hank Striker who claims to know Kyle's father shows up. Hank meets with him asking for Kyle's help. He's an old friend of Robert and worked with him in the Special Forces Program: SILVERRIM, which had be infiltrated and obliterated from the inside by a mole in the agency. It is revealed that Kyle has received special training from his father (that Kyle didn't really view as training) to take his place in the agency (along side with his MMA training). Hank Striker is the only surviving Agent of the agency and recruits Kyle to help him solve a conspiracy among SILVERRIM. Kyle agrees to join and suggests that he should recruits ones for the team too. The newly formed team codenamed: BLACKSTONE, soon find out that there is something much bigger at stake, an unknown virus is being planned to be shot in the atmosphere to expose the whole planet. But they soon learn that the man that they thought was dead is behind the whole thing. Kyle's father... But how?... **TWO MAJOR TWISTS**
