Black Man's Crown tells the story of Jamal Thompson a talented but overlooked high school basketball player living in a disadvantaged neighborhood. One day he stumbles upon a mysterious pair of sneakers with supernatural powers that grant their wearer incredible athletic abilities. With the sneakers on Jamal's skills skyrocket turning him into an unstoppable force on the court. Word about Jamal's newfound abilities quickly spreads throughout the neighbourhood, and soon everyone is vying for a chance to wear the magical sneakers and achieve their dreams of stardom. As the community becomes consumed by greed and ambition friendship are tested and rivalries ignite. The pursuit of success comes at a great cost straining relationships and leading to unexpected consequences.
