Maynard Sears, formerly known as Vasili Skachkov, is a former Soviet embassy security officer who defected from the Soviet Union to the United States in 1985, leaving behind his first wife Tatiana and first daughter Yevdokiya. Once making an information deal with the CIA, he assumed the new identity of Maynard Sears and residence in Baltimore, Maryland, remarrying and having one daughter, Lottie.
