Mercury is the Pontypandy fire station's quad bike. Mercury is an off road vehicle enabling it to be used in situations where other larger vehicles wouldn't be able to reach. It first appeared in Mandy's Mountain. Since it's debut Sam was the primary driver. But come the episode The Return of Norman-Man the other firefighters have ridden Mercury throughout the series.
