Selina Kyle is Catwoman, a costumed adventurer and super-thief who walks the line between hero and villain. Born and raised in Gotham City's notorious East End, she endured a childhood marked by crime, poverty and desperation, and learned quickly to survive by her own wits. Agile, alert and cunning, she carves her own path and has been both an enemy and an ally to the Batman. Later in her career, she tended towards crime-fighting and, although a champion of independence and invoker of the moral grey, she works hard to protect Gotham's East End. As an informal member of the Bat-Family, when Batman goes missing, she makes it her mission to assist them in finding him.
