@ringothedrummer@ringothedrummer I just can’t seem to find any emotional engagement with Aster’s work tbh. The most fun I had with this one was the first section in the city, perhaps because it’s the closest the movie movie comes to addressing some of the same anxieties I’ve felt before (and because Birthday Boy Stab Man rules.) After that I was just watching out of morbid curiosity to see what other indignities they could pile on Beau. The play in the woods felt like I was being bludgeoned.
