  • Would the story be like out of Kingdom Hearts? Where each world Ruby, Bugs, & Daffy encounter has the characters interacting with the story as "extras?"
  • @drewwhitlow Then I think I might be able to help with the story; though I might need to add more characters, if that's alright.
  • @castingsinmyblood Go for it man!👍🏾
  • Any preferences for the voice actors of the characters I've added?
  • @drewwhitlow my main snafu is casting Reptile. Think Steven Blum's voice for the character would be distinct enough from his Qrow Branwen?
  • @castingsinmyblood They’re all great.
  • I’ve got the story in broad strokes; the worlds for this game are Remnant (based on the various locations in RWBY, namely Patch, Vale, and the ruins of Beacon), Wabbit Woods (based on classic Bugs Bunny Cartoons), The 24th ½ Century (based on the Duck Dodgers cartoon and original shorts), The Matrix (based on the digital world in the eponymous franchise), Middle Earth (from the Lord of the Rings, namely from just after Rivendell onward in the First movie), The City of Frank (from Osmosis Jones), Legoland (the Lego Movie), Outworld (from Mortal Kombat), The Backlot (based off of the Animaniacs cartoons), Gotham City (from the Batman universe), Haunted Castle (based off of the classic Scooby-Doo cartoons), Hogwarts (based off of Harry Potter), Rockwell, Maine (from the Iron Giant), Salem’s Realm (based on the location of the same name), & Moron Mountain (from Space Jam)
  • @drewwhitlow I'll whip up the story today. I've got the broad strokes of it right now, so expect it in the comments soon
  • @castingsinmyblood Great ideas man!
  • Would you mind if I added some characters?
  • Gameplay idea: while Kingdom Hearts’s genre was rooted firmly in fantasy, Beacon Hearts will be predominantly sci-fi/science Fantasy in feel with elements of gameplay similar to Assassin’s Creed or Batman Arkham. Missions and worlds can prioritize stealth, power, or a mix of both, depending on numerous factors. Ruby is the jack of all trades character, with even levels of speed and power, so she’s a good addition to just about any mission and is a default member of your party until you finish the game. Conversely, other characters have other strengths; in Gotham, where stealth is key, Bugs is a good member of your party to keep around since many of his special abilities are based in disguises and puzzle solving. In Outworld, where beat em up mini-games and enemies are legion, Daffy would be a good edition to the party since his abilities are nominally melee based.
  • @castingsinmyblood I love it thank you!
  • Does this mean Oscar Pine is Kairi?
  • By the way, I suggest pacing yourself with the LOTR content, Ruby & Co experience the events of The Fellowship of the Ring. To witness the breaking of the fellowship and it's members' choice to carry on in spite of the odds against them would be a wake up call to them about the gravity of this undertaking.
