One year after Mr. Freeze's defeat, Batman, Batgirl, and Robin face a mentally unstable scientist named Jonathan Crane, also known as "The Scarecrow" and Harley Quinn, a toymaker and daughter of the Joker bent on revenge against Batman for her father's death. Crane offers an alliance with Quinn to end his The Batman for good.
