  • castingsinmyblood Clancy Brown as the Mutant Leader is some genuinely timeless casting. But I have to ask: were Alan Napier and Neil Hamilton deceased by the time this hypothetical movie was made?

    • michaelcosby @castingsinmyblood Yep, Brown was the first name that came to mind. Still starting out his career and I think the role is juicy enough to give him something good at that stage of his career. Unfortunately, Napier (retired in '81, had a stroke in '87 and died in '88) and Hamilton (died in '84) were both deceased by the time 1989 came around. Would've loved to have casted them to make things easier on myself but I had to dig for replacements.

    • castingsinmyblood @michaelcosby well, for what it's worth, Gielgud would have made a phenomenal Alfred. And Mitchum is no slouch in terms of Acting.

    • michaelcosby @castingsinmyblood Thanks! Those are probably the two castings I'm most proud of for this.

  • oscarpacino It'd be pretty interesting to see this universe take a dark deconstructionist tale and give Adam West the Williams treatment of acting in an older Bruce.

  • castingsinmyblood Also really like that you used Eastwood for Two-Face

    • michaelcosby @castingsinmyblood Despite, Eastwood allegedly almost playing Face on the 60s show, I was trying not to cast a big name. But, once I saw that the cast was missing a megastar that WB would want to really guarantee people to theaters, I made the call. Very similar thought process to how Nicholson was cast as Joker.
