Synopsis

Bruce Wayne, after escaping the clutches of Hugo Strange and Thomas Elliott/Hush in Arkham Asylum, now must prepare for the fight of his life, as Deathstroke, the Scarecrow, the Joker, Harley Quinn, the Riddler, Two-Face, and Bane have all brought themselves together to acheive one goal: kill the Batman. Having received much physical and emotional wounds from many of his villains in the past, Batman prepares to make a sacrifice for his life to not only prevent himself from going down the path his father did in the Flashpoint timeline, but to ensure his friends and loved ones are safe and live wonderful lives in his absence.

Description of Deathstroke (Slade Wilson):

Having Slade as one of the final villains here brings this saga full circle. His goal has been the same as always, which is to, of course, kill Batman. However, during the final battle when he and the other villains are having activated a ticking nuclear bomb that'll blow up much of Gotham as a whole, he sees how much pain Bruce is in from being beaten by Bane and the others, and is immediately reminded of his late daughter Rose. Realizing what he's done was wrong, Slade turns on his own comrades and even sacrifices himself alongside Bruce when the bomb inevitably goes off, which brings a swift end to his journey as a character in this story through his death and redemption.
