Gotham is no longer the only place that needs Batman. After years of fighting crime from the shadows, Bruce Wayne comes to a radical realization: Batman cannot be everywhere. Crime has become international, and a new generation of threats is emerging beyond Gotham’s borders. If the world needs Batman, then perhaps Batman must become something bigger than a single man. Bruce begins assembling a global network of heroes, each inspired by the symbol he created. From Gotham to Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, the members of Batman Incorporated take on criminals and organizations that operate far beyond the reach of any single city. Among them is a new and unpredictable figure: Damian Wayne, Bruce’s son. Raised in a world of violence and trained from childhood to become a lethal warrior, Damian struggles to understand the meaning of being Robin—and what it truly means to be part of Batman’s family. As Batman Incorporated expands, Bruce is forced to learn how to lead rather than simply fight. The Bat-family itself begins to evolve, with Tim Drake and the other members taking on greater responsibilities while new heroes step forward to carry the symbol in their own countries. But behind the growing network lies a powerful enemy operating on a global scale. Their influence reaches into governments, criminal organizations and secret societies, forcing Batman to confront an enemy that cannot simply be defeated in a single night.
