• castingmaestro Batman chases her across the roofs of Gotham until his grapple line is cut and he falls to the ground knocking him unconscious. This ignites a flashback of Batman’s parents being murdered in front of him when he was just a child. Bruce wakes up in a hospital bed greeted by a childhood friend, Thomas Elliot, who claims to have operated on Bruce and saved his life. They reminisce about their childhood and decide to spend some time catching up. Bruce exits the hospital to find Selina waiting for him. She was the one who took him to the hospital when she saw how bad he got hurt. She forces herself to tell Bruce the truth: she misses him. They go back to Wayne Manor where they talk for hours. Selina asks where Robin is and Batman tells her he’s out of state at boarding school. Batman and Catwoman arrive at the crime scene where a corpse is hanging from his arms with bandages covering his face. On the scene is Gordon, detectives Harvey Bullock and Arnold Flass, and forensic scientists Edward Nygma and Kristen Kringle. Catwoman’s presence makes the officers uneasy but Batman vouches for her.

• castingmaestro Ed has a strange obsession with riddles along with an obvious yet creepy crush on Kristen. Bullock is good friends with Gordon and Flass is just a sleesy jerk who obviously hates Gordon and his relationship with Batman. They unravel the victim’s bandages to see Rolland Dagget, a Wayne Enterprises board member, with the word HUSH carved on his forehead. Bruce and Alfred do some research but can’t find anything on Hush. Thomas Elliot invites Bruce and Selina to the opera on a double date. Selina reluctantly agrees to go just to spend time with Bruce. The opera is interrupted by none other than Harley Quinn.

• castingmaestro Bruce and Selina lose Thomas in the chaos and find a place to suit up. As they are fighting Harley, Batman hears Thomas screaming outside followed by a familiar laugh. He runs out into the a l l e y to see The J o k e r standing over Thomas b o d y.

• castingmaestro As Batman beats Joker more brutally than ever, Joker laughs as he claims he didn’t kill Thomas.

• castingmaestro Gordon arrives and has to pull Batman off of J o k e r to show him the words Hush written in blood on Thomas chest. Batman looks up to see a bandage wrapped figure watching from a nearby roof. He tries to run after him but Hush disappears. Thomas d e a t h leads Bruce to throw himself into investigating H u s h for weeks until he and Alfred hear about another H u s h victim in Metropolis. As Batman investigates the c r i m e scene, he is met by Superman and shortly after, Poison Ivy.

• castingmaestro Superman makes the mistake of getting too close to Ivy and she uses mind controlling plants to make him go after Batman. Batman holds Superman off as he sends Selina a plan. Their f i g h t ends when Selina pushes Lois Lane off a building, breaking the mind control as Superman saves her. Superman goes to confront Batman, but he is nowhere to be seen. Batman returns to Gotham to find that Bane is destroying the GCPD lockup, however it is Gordon’s battle with Hush on the roof that catches Bruce attention.

• castingmaestro As Catwoman helps with Bane, Batman rushes to Gordon, however he is too late. Gordon is shot d e a d by Hush. Hush is an impressive fighter and is able to get away when Bane joins the f i g h t distracting Batman. Bane punches Batman unconscious and escapes. Bullock finds Gordon body and weeps over his friend. Batman wakes up in a coffin six feet under. And is forced to use a vial of Bane venom to punch his way out. Hush is standing in front of Bruce and as they f i g h t he reminds Batman of his past: his parents dying, Jason Todd d e a t h, everything Bruce blames himself for. Bullock has thrown himself even more into investigating Hush after Gordon’s d e a t h. He discovers that Arnold Flass may be involved.

• castingmaestro Meanwhile, Ed and Kristen are investigating Thomas Elliot body and Ed seems to be hiding something. Kristen discovers that the body is a fake leading Ed to lock the door. Batman punches the bandages off of Hush revealing none other than Thomas Elliot. As Thomas begins to explain everything, Bullock is shown torturing answers out of Flass.

• castingmaestro Flass and Thomas stories match up. Hush was a moniker created by several people for several different purposes. Thomas reveals to Bruce that Thomas Wayne took credit for everything Elliot father ever accomplished and then had him killed in a car crash so no one would find out. He wanted revenge on Bruce Wayne.

• castingmaestro w a n t e d G o r d o n gone since Gordon knew about the shady dealings was making. They got Bane to join in return for giving him a lab to work on his v e n o m. As the story continues, we see Ed strangle Kristen. Edward Nygma got involved in order to look smart and impressive in front of Kristen, figuring out parts of the puzzle before anyone else could.
