nathanbates Explaining why I suggested Andy Serkis and Jeffrey Wright for Alfred and Gordon: Due to frequent delays, David Zaslav made the tough decision to “part ways” with director Matt Reeves on the Batman franchise. A sequel would still be released, but under a new creative team and with a more “market friendly” tone. Some cast members were contractually obligated to return, others successfully negotiated their way out. Robert Pattinson was quoted as saying “I’m too famous for this s**t.”
