Fan Casting Batman Beyond

The pilot episode starts in 2019 . Batman , despite being in his late 50s, continues to fight crime with a new high-tech costume. On the rescue of a kidnapped heiress, Batman suffers a mild heart attack and at the risk of being beaten to death by one of the kidnappers, is forced to betray one of his old oaths by using a gun to protect himself.The story advances 20 years later, to 2039, in New-Gotham, a futuristic megalopolis with towering skyscrapers and flying vehicles. Bruce is now an elderly man in his 70s and lives alone and secluded at Wayne Manor with his guard dog, (known as Ace the Bat-Hound ). Oblivious to what is happening outside his mansion, he does not even follow the day to day of his company.
