Alternate Casting
Charlie is a socially awkward young man and is always looking at life from the sidelines, until two charismatic students become his mentors. Sam and his stepbrother Patrick help Charlie discover the joys of friendship, first love, music and more, while a teacher provokes him to dreams of being a writer. However, as his new friends prepare to go to college, his inner sadness threatens to destroy his confidence.
