In the end, Bruce ultimately figures out that Dr. Langstrom and the Man-Bat are the same person, and on Halloween night, he and Thomas, Jr. attend the Halloween party hosted by the Mayor of Gotham, knowing full well that is when the Man-Bat will strike next, and eventually, he does. The two brothers, with their combined strengths, are able to defeat the Man-Bat and lock him away in the dungeons of Arkham Asylum, while the doctors that survived his previous rampage begin to figure out how to cure their old friend of his disease, a disease made from a serum designed to cure his disabilities, but one that turned him into a monster in his own right.
