A young woman (Tess) travels to Detroit for a job interview, and rents a house in a peculiar neighborhood. Unbeknownst to her, another young man (Keith) has also booked the rental house for the week. After an uncomfortable initial encounter, the two decide to stay in the rental together, and call the owner of the house in order to leverage a refund for the both of them. The two strangers get along quite well, and start to form something of a friendship.
