Out in the frozen North Sea, the Avengers find a block of ice containing the legendary hero, Captain America in suspended animation. While thawing the hero out, they were surprised to discover that Cap survived the years intact. So they made him their first recruit and called him a founding member. But when Helmut Zemo, the son of Heinrich Zemo hears about Captain America’s return he wants revenge on Cap and decides to follow his father’s legacy. So Helmut becomes the Baron Zemo of the modern age and recruits the enemies of the Avengers to help him take them down forming, The Masters of Evil. Meanwhile, Jarvis was mind-controlled by the mysterious Crimson Cowl to sell the blueprints to the Avengers' security systems to launch a surprise attack in the Avengers Mansion. When the Avengers realize the strange stuff happening in the Avengers Mansion and Baron Zemo’s plan to unleash the Masters of Evil to terrorize New York City, the Avengers recruits more heroes to help them defeat the Masters of Evil. But when Wonder Man, who’s body was made of ionic energy thanks to Zemo and Enchantress overwhelmed the Avengers, Hank has no other choice but to release his creation in order to beat the Masters of Evil…
