Now the Grand Director of HYDRA, Baron Zemo sets out to use the Hammer of Skadi to take over the world. Zemo becomes Skadi, the herald of the Serpent. Meanwhile other hammers landed around the world, transforming super powered individuals into The Worthy. As panic rises, the Avengers assure the world that they will have everything under control, and Odin reveals that this serpent is actually his brother, Cul. Over the objections of his son Thor, Odin moves the people of Asgard to another haven in Scotland, where they prepared for war. Since the Serpent feeds of fear, Thor contacts the Avengers and other heroes of the world to fight Cul, even if the prophecy states that Thor would perish while fighting the Serpent.
