Synopsis

(DISCLAIMER: THIS TAKES PLACE IN 2012 IN AN ALTERNATE TIMELINE OF THE X-MEN WHERE LAST STAND DOESN'T EXIST) Dark Overlord from 1986 is back. He has taken human form and is stronger than ever. He has attacked S.H.I.E.L.D.'s research facility and has taken what was theorized to be the source of ultimate power along Reed Richards so he can make a portal to lead an alien race called the Chitauri to conquer Earth. But Nick Fury had an idea. Called the Avengers Initiative. And he has chosen heroes like Wolverine, Daredevil, Elektra, Spider-Man as the leader, and Howard the Duck as the Dark Overlord expert on the team. But tensions rise as they uncover secrets that S.H.I.E.L.D. had kept. Will the heroes unite and put their differences aside? Or will the Dark Overlord open the portal and the Chitauri invade Earth?

Description of J. Jonah Jameson:

J. Jonah Jameson had got a visit from Peter Parker asking for a vacation (when he's actually recruited by Nick Fury). Jameson initially refused, but Robbie said that Peter has been their oldest photographer at the Bugle and he deserves a break. Jameson said "Eh, what the heck? It'll probably be easier on my money anyway, since I'm always paying you." Even after what had happened with Scorpion, Jameson does not know that his best photographer was Spider-Man.
