He has attacked S.H.I.E.L.D.'s research facility and has taken what was theorized to be the source of ultimate power along Reed Richards so he can make a portal to lead an alien race called the Chitauri to conquer Earth. But Nick Fury had an idea. Called the Avengers Initiative. And he has chosen heroes like Wolverine, Daredevil, Elektra, Spider-Man as the leader, and Howard the Duck as the Dark Overlord expert on the team.
