A stop motion film centred around a more devastating Chernobyl Incedent
What if Chernobyl led to the collapse of Eastern European society as we know it? 1986. The Chernobyl Incident (far worse than in our reality) changed the world forever. Eastern Europe is a radioactive hellscape, the former Warsaw Pact states broke away and switched from far left to far right, warlord factions begin taking over key areas of interest and it's generally not a fun time. But this incident didn't hurt anyone as bad as the State of Ukraine. Mutated individuals, toxic soil, warlord factions, acid rain. Conquest, War, Famine and Death. And the abundance of warlords doesn't help either. Ranging from the Black Flag of Odessa & Sevastopol, a pirate crew ravaging Black Sea and Dnipro River trade, the Iron Cossacks of the Donbas, riding on their mutated 10 legged horses and burning enemy settlements to the ground, the Republic of New Makhnovia, an anarchist state controlling the vast fields of central and northern Ukraine, including Kyiv, led by the uncompromising yet seductive warlord Mama Anarkhiya (or in simple terms Mother Anarchy), and the widely recognised, nationalistic and desperate State of Ukraine, whose last remaining territories are just the cities of Lviv and Kharkiv. the movie follows two friends, Mikhail and Volodymyr, as they leave Kharkiv and head west to the Polish border, hoping for a better life in the West. But along the way, they make lots of new enemies.
