A live action remake of the classic Walt Disney film with a diverse cast. Madame Adelaide Bonfamille, a retired opera singer nearing her death, leaves her vast fortune to both her loyal butler, Edgar Balthazar, and her beloved cats, Duchess and her three kittens, Toulouse, Marie, and Berlioz. Wanting the fortune all to himself, Edgar disposes of the cats in the countryside. But the kind-hearted maid, Annalise, witnesses the deed and goes out to search for the cats. Meanwhile, Duchess and the kittens make their way back with the help of Thomas O'Malley, a laid-back alley cat who forms a bound with the family. As they journey back to Paris, the family meets many Allies who show them culture they never knew before.
