1980's adaptation of Archie comics as envisioned by John Hughes centered on Riverdale's small town setting and the cliques, pressures, and heartbreaks of teen life of that era. An authentic, emphatic portrayal of the teenage experience with the occasional heightened moments of dreamlike absurdity.
