Ant-Man is a 2011 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics Ant-Man characters Hank Pym. The film was directed by Edgar Wright from a screenplay by the writing teams of Wright & Joe Cornish and Adam McKay. It stars Patrick Wilson as Hank Pym / Ant-Man alongside Corey Stoll, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Patton Oswalt, Penélope Cruz, Wood Harris, Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen and Michael Douglas. In the film, Hank Pym discovers a formula that allows him to shrink to the size of an Ant but must keep it out of the hands of people who want to exploit it.
