Rosalie Anderson MacDowell, known as Andie MacDowell, is an American actress and former model. MacDowell's career began with modeling for Calvin Klein and as L'Oréal's longest-running spokesperson since 1986. Her film debut was in 1984's Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes. She received critical acclaim and an Independent Spirit Award for her role in Steven Soderbergh's 1989 independent drama , Lies, and Videotape
