In a very radical and multi-dynamic sitcom based on the facts of the same family completed by his son Steve, a typical 14-year-old nerd; his democrat and hippie daughter Hayley, 18; his wife, Francine, who is naive and very dedicated; an alien, overweight alcoholic named Roger; and a fish with the brain of a German Olympic skier originally named Maurice, but now known as Klaus Heisler.
