Eugene "Flash" Thompson grew up in Queens, New York, where he was a popular high school football star. Driven by an abusive, alcoholic father, Flash took his anger out on others, primarily the quiet and bookish Peter Parker. Ironically, Flash was a massive, outspoken fan of Spider-Man, never realizing his hero was the "Puny Parker" he tormented daily.
